In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, UNICEF led the development of an Inter-Agency Technical Note on COVID-19 and Children Deprived of their Liberty, followed by the UNICEF Executive Director’s statement calling for the urgent and safe release of children, use of alternative measures to detention, no new entries of Children into detention, and protection measures for children who remain in detention.

UNICEF and the International Association of Youth and Family Judges and Magistrates are pleased to present a series of webinars to hear how some countries have put these calls into action. This second webinar will focus on
maintaining the operation of courts for children and women during the pandemic.
